PEAR MINCEMEAT 
7 lb. ground pears (14 c.)
1 lb. raisins
6 c. sugar
1 orange
3 apples, peeled & chopped sm.
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice

Grind pears. Cut orange peel fine and cool until tender. Add raisins, apples and spices. Cook. Add sugar and cook until consistency of mincemeat. Put in jars and seal while hot.

To make pie with 1 quart of mincemeat: Make crust for 2 crust pie. Make bottom crust and shape in deep dish pie plate. Mix jar of mincemeat with 1 cup chopped pecans and pour into crust. Cover with top crust and slit about 6 times. Pie is done when browned. Serve with Cool Whip or favorite topping.
