2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. warm water
4 eggs, separate and save 2 egg whites
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed potatoes
1 c. black walnuts, chopped
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Mix cocoa and water in small bowl. Combine with 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Beat 2 egg whites and fold into cake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
