FRENCH CHERRY DESSERT 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
20 soda crackers, crushed fine
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (env.) Dream Whip
1 can cherry pie mix

Beat egg whites until foamy; add sugar gradually and beat stiff. Fold in crackers, baking powder, vinegar, vanilla, and pecans. Spread in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool. Then combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Prepare Dream Whip and fold into cheese mixture. Spread over cooled egg white mixture. Spoon pie mix over this. Chill 2 or 3 hours.
