GRAM'S GINGER COOKIES (ROLLED) 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
1 c. warm water
3 1/2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in warm water
1 tbsp. ginger
4 c. flour or more

Mix all ingredients except flour, then add flour (enough flour so dough can be rolled out). Use floured cutting board. Use cutters. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
