GINGER SNAPS 
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Sift together. Set aside.

3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg

Beat on medium speed, then beat in 1/4 cup molasses. At low speed, now beat in dry ingredients. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Roll into walnut size balls; roll in granulated sugar. Put on greased cookie sheet. Drop a drop or two of water on each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
