HAWAIIAN BANANA NUT BREAD 
3 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. diced candied cherries (opt.)
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil or 3 sticks butter
2 c. mashed bananas
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained

Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs and flavoring. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Add mashed bananas, pineapple and nuts. Mix well and pour into 5 mini loaf pans or 3 regular loaf pans.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Serve warm with butter. Freezes well.
