1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar & a little over
1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. sugar
Pinch of soda
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sm. cans evaporated milk, a little over

1. Mix together sugar with melted butter. Add cocoa mixture to sugar and butter; mix well.

2. Separate egg yolks from whites, put whites to the side.

3. Add yolks to cocoa mixture, vanilla and milk.

4. Pour into two prepared pie pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

5. Beat egg whites, add 1/4 cup powdered sugar or a little to give a sweet taste. Add 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar. Beat until stiff. When pies are done. Put whites on top, put into oven until whites are brown.
