SKILLET SPANISH RICE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 8 oz. sweet Italian sausage, casing removed 2 sm. red or green bell peppers, seeded & chopped 1 med. onion, chopped 1 rib celery, chopped 1-1/2 c. hot water 1-1/4 c. uncooked converted style rice 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. ea. seasoned salt, ground cumin & black pepper Crumble beef and sausage into large skillet. Add vegetables; stir over medium heat, until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat; stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes until rice is tender. |
