SHRIMP IN BEER 
2 lb. raw shrimp (or frozen)
4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. minced onion or 1/2 sm. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 c. beer
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. minced parsley

Shell and wash shrimp; pat dry with paper toweling. Melt butter in a skillet; add shrimp and onion. Simmer 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Blend in flour, salt and Tabasco. Add beer and bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; remove bay leaf. Sprinkle parsley over the shrimp. Serve as main course over rice.
