APPETIZING APPLE CRISP 
1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. flour
4 c. apples, sliced
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. water

Combine sugar, flour and butter with fingers until crumbly. Pare apples and slice. Place sliced apples in a greased casserole dish. Pour water over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon. Spread crumb mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Top with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
