APPLE SALAD 
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
3 lg. mellow apples
1/2 c. pecan halves
20 maraschino cherries
1/3 block butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix flour and sugar together. Drain pineapple. In saucepan, pour whipping cream, add flour and sugar mixture and drained pineapple. Cook over medium heat until thick. Add butter and let cool to room temperature. Stir in pecans. Peel and then grate apples into mixture. Turn into serving bowl. Top with cherries, and then sprinkle walnuts on top also.
