APPLESAUCE BRAN BREAD 
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 (16 oz.) jar applesauce
1 1/2 c. Bran Flakes Cereal
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. raisins
1/3 c. chopped nuts, (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. In large bowl stir together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, soda and nutmeg. Combine eggs, applesauce and cereal. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes. Stir to break up flakes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Add all at once to dry ingredients, stir just until moistened. Turn into pan. Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.

I have made this many times. I use All Bran Shreds, and only one-quarter teaspoon nutmeg. Always good!
