GLAZED APPLE SQUARES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, separated
Milk
1 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
8 med. sized apples, peeled and sliced (about 5 cups)
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Beat egg yolks with enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Add to mixture, toss lightly. Divide dough almost in half. Roll larger portion to fit 15 x 9 inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with corn flakes. Spread apples over flakes. Sprinkle mixture of sugar and cinnamon over apples. Roll out remaining dough. Place on top and seal edges. Spread beaten egg whites over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

GLAZE:

Combine 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons water and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
