HAMBURGER VEGETABLE TREAT 
1 sm. onion (optional)
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground round
4 lg. carrots, sliced thin
4 lg. potatoes, sliced thin
8 to 10 slices American or Velveeta cheese

Peel and slice carrots and potatoes, thinly first. Then in large frying pan, press out ground round evenly over bottom of pan, then slice small onion over top. Add salt and pepper, then put carrots evenly across top. Then do the same with potatoes. Then turn on burner over low to medium heat and cover tightly with a lid. Cook until potatoes and carrots feel soft. Then put cheese slices over the entire pan for 1 1/2 minutes. Serve warm.
