PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
1 pt. fresh shelled peanuts, unsalted
1 tsp. paraffin shavings
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix all ingredients, except peanuts and soda. Bring to a boil; add peanuts. When peanuts stop popping, remove from heat; add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet; do not stir. Let cool. Break into pieces.
