DAD'S PICADILLO 
1 lb. ground pork
1 lb. ground beef
2 med. onions
1 lg. green pepper
Olive oil
6 sm. tomatoes (2 sm. cans)
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. stuffed green olives, chopped
1/2 c. raisins
1 tbsp. capers
1/2 c. red wine or 1/2 c. tomato juice

Chop onions and green pepper very fine and brown in olive oil. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, garlic, pepper and meat, stirring constantly to break in small bits. Add remaining ingredients slowly until meat is tender, about 1 hour. Serve over rice. Serves 10.
