3 lbs. ground beef
2 slices bread, crumbled
1 egg
1 c. diced onion
1 c. diced green pepper
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1 c. milk

Blend all ingredients together. Shape into oval shape. Smooth meat loaf with spatula to keep from cracking. Bake on 375 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. tomato ketchup
1 tbsp. mustard
1 c. brown sugar or 1 1/3 c. granulated sugar

Mix together, add 1 tablespoon water, if mixture is too thick. Pour over meat loaf. Bake for 10 minutes.
