HUNGARIAN SHORT RIBS | |
4 lbs. beef short ribs 2 tsp. oil 2 med. onions, sliced 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 6 oz. med. noodles 1 c. water In Dutch oven, brown meat in hot oil; add onions. Blend tomato sauce, add first cup of water, brown sugar, salt, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over meat. Cover. Simmer 2 1/2 hours. Skim off fat. Stir in noodles and add second cup of water. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes. Ready to serve. |
