AVERILL'S ICE CREAM 
5 eggs
1 qt. plus 1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
2 c. white Karo syrup
4 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Salt
1 c. whipping cream or 1 can evaporated milk

Scald milk. Add eggs. Cook until it coats a spoon. Add remaining ingredients. Place in ice cream churn and freeze as directed.
