LASAGNA 
SAUCE:

2 lg. cans tomato paste
1 clove garlic
Sweet basil, to taste
1 tbsp. salt, to taste
4 tsp. sugar, to taste
Onion sauteed
If bitter, add 1/4 tsp. baking soda

In a large pot add tomato paste also adding about 2 1/2 cans water for each can of tomato paste. Mince garlic and add basil, salt, sugar, and onion. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer about 4 hours.

MEAT:

1 lb. hamburger
2 eggs
1/4 c. Romano cheese
1/4 c. bread crumbs
Salt
Splash of milk

Mix all meat ingredients. Brown in oil, preferable olive oil. Add chunks to sauce. For extra meat flavoring, add spare ribs or sausage to sauce, browned.

NOODLES:

1 lb. lasagna noodles
1 1/2 lb. ricotta cheese
Mozzarella cheese, preferably whole milk Mozzarella
Romano cheese

Cook lasagna according to package directions. After boiled, drain and soak in cold water. In roasting pan or large casserole, put layer of sauce with loose hamburger chunks. Then a layer of noodles. Top with chunks of ricotta and Mozzarella. Cover with more sauce and meat mixture. Sprinkle with grated Romano cheese. Repeat beginning with noodles until roaster is full. Cover, cook at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. To reheat, preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake about 30 minutes.
