BUTTERLESS, EGGLESS, MILKLESS
CAKE
 
1 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 c. water
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cook raisins in water until tender. Let cool. Mix sugar, salt, shortening, cinnamon and nutmeg to raisins. Dissolve soda in a little water and add to mixture. Add flour to this mixture and mix well. Bake at 400 degrees. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
