Place sifter in 8 inch square pan.

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift ingredients in the pan and make 3 indentations in the mixture. Put 1 teaspoon vanilla in one, 1 tablespoons vinegar in second, and 5 tablespoons cooking oil in the third. Gradually beat in 1 cup of water; beat until smooth.

Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Ice with chocolate frosting.

Do not grease pan.
