ANGEL BISCUITS 
5 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
2 pkgs. yeast

Sift dry ingredients in large bowl. Make a well in flour mixture and add milk and Crisco well. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add flour mixture. Knead well. Roll out on floured surface. Cut biscuits and place in greased pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Dough may be kept refrigerated for several days. Makes 40 to 50 biscuits, depending on size of biscuit cutter.
