DAD'S FAVORITE ANGEL BISCUITS 
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 pkg. granular yeast
1 tbsp. warm water
1 c. buttermilk

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening. Meanwhile dissolve yeast in 1 tablespoon warm water, add with buttermilk to flour mixture and mix well. Turn out on lightly floured board. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
