2 qt. ground cucumbers 2 ground onions 4 ground stalks of celery 1 sm. cabbage or cauliflower, ground 3 hot or green peppers 1 handful of pickling salt dissolved in 1 c. boiling water 1 1/2 pt. vinegar 1 tbsp. mustard seed 1 tbsp. turmeric 5 c. sugar 1 tbsp. celery seed To the cucumbers, onions, celery, cabbage, and peppers. Add pickling salt dissolved in boiling water. Let stand overnight. Then drain and add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, celery seed, and turmeric. Bring to boil and boil for 10 minutes. Process in jars according to canning directions. |
