SEAFOOD AU GRATIN | |
1/2 c. butter, melted 1/2 c. flour 3/4 lb. langastino 1 lb. fillet of cod 2 chopped pimentos 1 sm. can mushrooms 1/4 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs 1 c. milk Bake cod in water. Drain and let cool. Melt butter. Add flour slowly and mix until smooth. Slowly add milk and simmer until it thickens. Add langastino and cod (broken into pieces). Add pimentos and mushrooms. Pour into baking dish. Spread grated cheese over top. Mix bread crumbs with 1 tablespoon butter and sprinkle over top. Bake at 300 degrees until cheese is bubbly - about 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with rice. What you hear never sounds quite as important as what you overhear. |
