WASH DAY PEACH COBBLER 
1 (16 oz.) can of fruit
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
Dash salt
1 stick butter
1/4 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium saucepan over medium heat cook fruit until boiling, set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, milk, baking powder and salt. In a 2 quart casserole dish melt butter. Pour batter over butter. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over entire casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.

Oh my gosh this is the recipe our family has made for generations! I lost my copy a couple years ago and decided to search it on Google. Our version we didn't heat the fruit and it did not have the sugar on the top, but the rest is the same. This recipe is so yummy. Talk about comfort food!
