FRESH PEAR CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. thinly sliced pears, drained

Combine sugar, eggs and oil. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing well. Batter will be stiff. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon and pears. Spoon batter into well greased 10 inch pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
