GLENDA'S CORNBREAD 
1 c. cornmeal plus 2 tbsp.
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. fat

Mix dry ingredients well. Beat egg and add to buttermilk. Melt fat and add to buttermilk and egg mixture. Pour into dry ingredients and mix well. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 or 20 minutes. Makes 11 sticks of cornbread.
