MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN | |
1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 1/4 c. dark corn syrup 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla Put brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2 quart dish. Microwave on High for 3 minutes, stir thoroughly, microwave 2 more minutes on High. Then add baking soda and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pour mixture over 4 quarts pre-popped popcorn in paper sack. Fold top down, microwave 1 1/2 minutes on High, take bag out and shake very well (15 times). Return to microwave, 1 1/2 minutes on High. Again, shake 15 times. Pour onto cookie sheets to cool. Store in air tight container(s). |
