KENTUCKY BUTTER CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter. softened
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs

BUTTER SAUCE:

3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1/3 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 325 degrees. GREASE a bundt or tube pan. In bowl combine all cake ingredients; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour into pan. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes. In saucepan, combine sauce ingredients until butter melts. Do not boil. Prick cake 10 to 12 times with fork. Slowly pour hot sauce over cake. COOL before removing from pan. Just before serving sprinkle with 10X sugar.
