MYRA GROVE'S MERRY CHRISTMAS
CAKE
 
1 c. butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 lb. candied cherries (1/2 red and 1/2 green)
1/2 lb. pecan meats, broken
1/2 lb. English walnut meats, broken
1 can Angel Flake coconut

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in other ingredients in order given. Use mixer for ingredients through sifted flour, then blend in remaining ingredients by hand.

Pour into tube pan, greased, lined on bottom with waxed paper, which has been greased, too. Bake in 250 degree oven (slow) for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Cool, wrap in foil and store in cool place. Sprinkle with sherry, if desired.

(Can be made several weeks before Christmas. Keep in cool place.)
