1 c. milk
1 tbsp. flour
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped raisins
1 c. flaked coconut
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Sm. bottle maraschino cherries (cut into 8ths, plus all liquid)
2 layers jam, applesauce, carrot or spice cake

Mix flour, milk and eggs together in saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. "Pat" onto cake layers, middle and sides.

This cake get more moist with age. Must be refrigerated. Freezes well.
