4 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco (shortening)
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour and milk in saucepan cook until thick, put in bowl and cool. Cream butter and shortening 4 minutes with electric mixer, add sugar gradually, beat 4 minutes add flour paste and vanilla and beat more. Great on chocolate cake.
