WALNUT CREAM DROPS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. white corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. milk
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix in a saucepan all ingredients except vanilla and walnuts. Cook very slowly, without stirring, over a low heat until a little of the mixture when dropped in cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from heat and cool at room temperature without stirring. Add vanilla and walnuts. Beat until candy holds its shape and then drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper. Makes about 20 patties.
