1/2 lb. bacon, diced
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Fry diced bacon until crisp and drain on paper towels. Beat eggs, sugar, and water together. Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly and bring to a boil. Add bacon and pour over fresh lettuce, endive, or dandelion leaves.
