1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
2 eggs
1 can Musselman's regular applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. cocoa (heaping)

Cream sugar, butter and eggs. Add applesauce and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients. Grease and flour loaf pan. Pour cake mixture into pan. Sprinkle over top:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Nuts
Powdered sugar

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
