CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 well beaten egg
3/4 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

In bowl mix together flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in egg, orange juice and shortening. Mix until well blended. Stir in nuts and cranberries.

Turn into a 9x5 inch loaf bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or test with a toothpick in center. Cool on rack for 15 minutes, then remove. One loaf. Freezes well.
