FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
Cake:

2 c. sugar
1 lg can fruit cocktail with juice
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp salt

Stir all ingredients and bake at 350°F for 55 minutes.

Icing:

1 stick butter
1 small can evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Cook over medium heat. When it starts to thicken set aside. When cake is done poke holes in top and pour icing over it.
