BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
1/2 lbs. butter
1 stick butter flavored Crisco
1 box plus 1 cup light brown sugar
6 eggs
3 cups plain flour
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 tbsp. Vanilla extract

Icing:

1 stick butter
1 box 10x powdered sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp. Milk

Cake: Preheat oven to 325°F. Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar, one cup at a time beating well. Add eggs 1 at a time. Combine flours and add, alternating with the milk. Add vanilla. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Icing: Combine 1/2 stick butter and 1 cup pecans in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low-medium heat until browned. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Add enough milk to make frosting spreadable. Mix well, spreading over cake.
