BROWN SUGAR PECAN POUND CAKE 
2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
5 beaten egg yolks
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
5 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream sugars with Crisco and butter. Add egg yolks and beat well. Mix the baking powder with flour. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla and the pecans. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
