STRAWBERRY FREEZER JAM | |
1 lb. (2 c.) strawberries 4 c. sugar 1 box powdered fruit pectin (Sure-Jell, etc.) 3/4 c. water Wash and hull strawberries. Crush. Place in large bowl. Add sugar and mix well. In a saucepan, combine water and pectin. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir into fruit mixture. Continue stirring 3 minutes. Quickly ladle into sterilized jars. Cover with tight lids. Allow to set at room temperature 24 hours. Store in freezer. Makes 6 medium jelly glasses. If kept in the refrigerator, use within 3 weeks. |
