NAVAJO FRIED BREAD | |
6 c. flour 2 tbsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. salt 2 tsp. shortening Combine ingredients with enough lukewarm water to make dough consistency of yeast bread. Mix until dough does not stick to hands. Pinch off about the size of biscuit. Roll in circle in hands, patting and pulling until thin and about 3" in diameter. Drop in deep fat fryer until golden brown on both sides, turning only once. Serve hot. |
