"TRIED & TRUE" ROLLS 
2 c. scalded milk, cooled
1 c. mashed potatoes
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. BLAIR butter flavoring
1 pkg. active dry yeast
7 to 9 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add potatoes, sugar, shortening, salt and butter flavoring; mix well. Gradually add flour... enough to allow to knead dough easily. Place ball of dough into a large greased bowl and set in a warm place, covered, to rise.

When doubled in bulk, punch down in bulk. Pinch off pieces of dough and form into walnut size balls and place in a greased pan; let rise. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Rolls may be frozen and reheated 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
