RUSSIAN TEA CAKES | |
1 c. soft butter 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour and salt stir in. Mix in nuts, chill dough. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. While still warm roll in powdered sugar, cool then roll in sugar again. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake at 10 to 12 minutes or set, but not brown. Makes 4 dozen. |
