ROLLED OATS STEAKS 
1 c. quick or regular oats
1/2 c. toasted bread crumbs
1 c. cooked brown rice
1 lg. onion, chopped and sauteed
1 rounded tsp. brewer's yeast
1/2 tsp. sage
1 pkg. George Washington broth, accent or McKay's chicken seasoning
Salt to taste
2 eggs
Enough water to form patties

Mix and form into patties. Brown patties lightly in oil. Drop into boiling broth made of: 1 tbsp. Vegex or Savorex 1 tbsp. soy sauce Lump of butter

Simmer 30 minutes. Lift from broth, and arrange in casserole. Mix broth with 1 can mushroom soup, and pour over patties. Put in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes before serving, and heat to bubbling.

To make the boiling broth you need 2 cups of water mixed with the soy sauce and butter. And since Vegex and Savorex are no longer made, you need 1 tbsp. of either Vegemite or Marmite.

My grandmother made this for years, suffice it to say I am a grandmother now. And she used 1 tablespoon of Kitchen Bouquet. It is still available.
