1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/2 inch thick, cut into serving size pieces 1 c. sliced onions 4.5 oz. can whole mushrooms, drained 10 1/2 oz. can condensed beef broth 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water Heat oven to 325 degrees. In large ovenproof skillet, Dutch oven or baking dish, combine all ingredients except cornstarch and water. Cover, bake at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is almost tender. In small bowl, combine cornstarch and water, stir into meat mixture. Bake for 15 minutes or until gravy is thickened. Serves 4-6. Calories - 90; Protein - 26g; Carbohydrate - 7g; Fat - 6g; Cholesterol is 70mg; Sodium - 445mg; Potassium - 340mg; Serving size - 1/6 of recipe. |
