BEEFED UP BISCUIT CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg
8 oz. tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Canned biscuits

Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain off liquid. Add tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt; simmer. Pull apart each biscuit into 2 layers. Press 10 pieces over bottom of 8 x 9 inch square baking pan. (Canned biscuits come 10 to package and are easy to separate.) Mix together 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, sour cream, and egg. Add to meat. Spoon meat mixture over dough. Top with remaining biscuits. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheddar cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes until deep golden brown.
