BREAD PUDDING 
8 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. milk
1/2 lb. bread
1/4 c. pecans
1/2 c. butter, melted

WHISKEY SAUCE:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 sticks (1 c.) butter, melted
2 eggs
1 oz. whiskey

Blend eggs, salt and sugar lightly with wire whisk. Add vanilla and milk blend. Break bread into medium size pieces. Add pecans and melted butter. Arrange in a 13x9 baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread.

Place pan inside larger pan and fill with boiling water until it comes up to sides of smaller pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees - longer if necessary - test with knife for doneness. Serve with warm whiskey sauce.

To prepare sauce, whip sugar into melted butter. Fold in eggs and add whiskey.
