MARY ANN'S PUMPKIN BREAD 
3 1/3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. corn oil
4 eggs
2/3 c. water
2 c. canned pumpkin
3 c. sugar

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sift sugar with ingredients. Make a well in the center of mixture and add all other ingredients. Add nuts and candied fruit, if desired (1/2 to 1 cup). Mix until smooth.

Pour into 3 (4 x 7 1/2 inch) loaf pans which have been greased and floured. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until done. Cool about 10 minutes; turn out on wire rack. May be frozen or kept in refrigerator wrapped in foil. May be baked in tin cans, sliced, spread with cream cheese for party sandwiches.
